Regain control of a futuristic Tokyo from an emerging robotic threat in the year 2080. The story starts when Dan Marshall and his squad are sent to bring the robotic community under control as they begin to infiltrate society and slowly take over undetected, leaving humans redundant in their wake. Fighting through the derelict lower levels of the city, players control an international peace-keeping squad that soon starts to question their surroundings and the choices they make. Are the robots becoming more human, or are humans becoming more like machines?

Thrilling encounters with these highly intelligent robotic enemies require you to think tactically, make challenging, real-time moral decisions and build up trust with your team mates in order to guide your squad to safety and success.","145026/binary-domain-cover.jpg","145026/binary-domain-header.jpg","https://youtu.be/Qp1SGtosGI0","2012-02-16",null,6913,"binary-domain",203750,[19,24
"Sega",false,true
"Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios",[28,29],"Shooter","Puzzle",[31,32,33],"PC (Microsoft Windows)","PlayStation 3","Xbox 360",[35,51,67,82,96,111
69770
4774,"Tristan Ogilvie
69,"https://cdn.criticdb.com/storage/v1/object/public/avatars/Outlets/IGN-logo.jpg","IGN","https://www.ign.com/","10","Ironically, for a game about the eradication of androids posing as humans, Binary Domain is itself a form of replicant. It convincingly apes the mechanics and behaviours of the best shooters on the market, but its augmentations feel noticeably forced and artificial. Having said that, shearing through robots in a Neo Tokyo setting makes for a nice change of pace within a genre typically populated by alien antagonists and Eastern European enemies, and in all but name this is essentially the best Terminator game ever made. The voice command and trust systems are interesting experiments that yield slightly underdeveloped results, but ultimately Binary Domain doesn’t hang its hat on them – even without the gimmicks this is an enjoyable albeit derivative shooter that any self-respecting sci-fi fan should check out.","https://www.ign.com/articles/2012/02/21/binary-domain-review","2012-02-21","7.5",75
36366
3556,"Shad Forsyth
7,"https://cdn.criticdb.com/storage/v1/object/public/avatars/Outlets/cog-connected-logo.png","COGConnected","https://cogconnected.com","100","Binary Domain may look like your standard, futuristic shoot ‘em up but it comes with two distinct features that Sega hopes will set it apart from other shooters. A little bit Blade Runner, a little bit Terminator, Binary Domain’s game play underwhelms but if you are looking for an interesting and engaging story, you may want to want to check this one out.","https://cogconnected.com/review/binary-domain-xbox-360-review/","2012-03-18","60",60
52848
4452,"Andrew Kirkcaldy
74,"https://cdn.criticdb.com/storage/v1/object/public/avatars/Outlets/Videogamer-logo.jpg","Videogamer","https://www.videogamer.com/","Is this a case of robot love, or is Sega's shooter best left on the scrapheap?","https://www.videogamer.com/reviews/binary-domain-review/","2021-06-05","8.0/10",80
48156
4138,"Christopher Ingram
63,"https://cdn.criticdb.com/storage/v1/object/public/avatars/Outlets/Push-Square-Logo.jpg","Push Square","https://www.pushsquare.com/","Global warming has flooded Earth, killing millions. Governmental powers crippled in the wake of the disaster, laws and regulations weren’t properly enforced: in Binary Domain, mankind sits at the bottom of the totem pole.
