See the world through the eyes of a cat! Like other first-person games, you can walk and look around, jump, and crouch. Unlike other first-person games, your primary weapons are your two cat paws, which you can use to swipe at and knock objects onto the floor.","111067/co2po5_webp","111067/a76mlr936jcvid1kdqr2_webp","2015-05-27",58.8,17966,"catlateral-damage",329860,[18
"Manekoware",true,[23,24,25],"Shooter","Simulator","Indie",[27,28],"PC (Microsoft Windows)","PlayStation 4",[30,46,61,76,91,107
64244
3923,"Kim Snaith
27,"https://cdn.criticdb.com/storage/v1/object/public/avatars/Outlets/GameSpew-Logo.jpg","GameSpew","https://www.gamespew.com","10","It’s probably safe to say that Catlateral Damage is a bit like Marmite: you’re either going to love it or hate it. If you’re a cat person, you’ll surely find several hours worth of novelty entertainment here, but otherwise you might just miss the point of the game. It’s not to be taken seriously, and that’s obvious right from booting the game up; from its blocky and over-simplistic graphic style to the plethora of cat-themed puns that you’re ambushed with right from the get-go (the “Paws” menu, for instance). If you have a sense of humour and a bit of time to kill, Catlateral Damage has plenty to offer; it’s just a delight to play. If cats aren’t your thing though, you’ll probably wonder why on Earth you’re spending your precious time just knocking things to the floor.","https://www.gamespew.com/2016/03/catlateral-damage-review/","2016-03-24","7/10",70
47688
4082,"Stephen Tailby
63,"https://cdn.criticdb.com/storage/v1/object/public/avatars/Outlets/Push-Square-Logo.jpg","Push Square","https://www.pushsquare.com/","That's right: the cat puns start early. Not even the title of this fur-st purr-son mess-making game was able to escape the witty claws of developer Chris Chung, and his creation is littered with word play (guess what the pause menu is called). Catlateral Damage has been available on the PC for about a year already, so it may be that it's crossed your path before. The museum and super market levels are stupid enough to actually be somewhat entertaining but you can only get to those levels if a specific item spawns in the level you’re currently in. If you don’t find the item, or it just doesn’t spawn, then you’re stuck going through the exact same house layouts back-to-back. The Steam page touts procedurally generated levels as a major feature but it’s really just the same kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room, and dining areas connected to each other in different ways. The items in these areas stay the exact same as well so there’s never anything new to experience with each new round. If the game had instead gone for zanier levels, or even just more varied locales like a restaurant, it definitely would have helped the severe repetition issues this game has.","https://monstervine.com/2015/08/catlateral-damage-review/","2015-08-03","1.5",30
79913
5930,"Randy Kalista
59,"https://cdn.criticdb.com/storage/v1/object/public/avatars/Outlets/Gaming-Nexus-Logo.jpg","Gaming Nexus","https://gamingnexus.com/","Catlateral Damage isn't a cat simulator, really. It simply takes the shove-things-off-the-ledge aspect of a cat's personality and runs that concept into the ground.
