Initially launched for the PlayStation 2, it serves as the second installment in the God of War series, the sixth in chronological order, and a sequel to 2005's God of War. The game is rooted in Greek mythology and unfolds in ancient Greece, revolving around the theme of vengeance. The protagonist, Kratos, is the new God of War, having defeated the former, Ares. However, Kratos is betrayed by Zeus, the King of the Olympian gods, who not only strips him of his godhood but also kills him. Dragged slowly to the Underworld, Kratos is rescued by the Titan Gaia, who guides him to seek out the Sisters of Fate. These entities have the power to enable time travel, allowing Kratos to prevent his betrayal, and ultimately seek revenge on Zeus.","187714/god-of-war-ii-cover.jpg","187714/god-of-war-ii-header.jpg",null,"2007-03-13",81.6,551,"god-of-war-ii",[18,23,26
"Capcom",false,true
"Sony Computer Entertainment
"SCE Santa Monica Studio",[30,31,32],"Platform","Hack and slash/Beat 'em up","Adventure",[34],"PlayStation 2",[36,52,68,82,96
37889
3718,"Diego Perez
50,"https://cdn.criticdb.com/storage/v1/object/public/avatars/Outlets/Attack-Of-The-Fanboy-Logo.jpg","Attack of the Fanboy","https://attackofthefanboy.com/","5","Whether you're revisiting the frozen Norse realm or diving into Kratos and Atreus' journey for the first time, there's never been a better way to experience this epic tale.","https://attackofthefanboy.com/reviews/god-of-war-pc-review/","2022-01-12","4.5",90
74747
4803,"Jesse Schedeen
69,"https://cdn.criticdb.com/storage/v1/object/public/avatars/Outlets/IGN-logo.jpg","IGN","https://www.ign.com/","10","IGN reviews God of War #2.","https://www.ign.com/articles/2010/05/27/god-of-war-2-review","2010-05-27","4.8",48
78726
5580,"Stefan L
56,"https://cdn.criticdb.com/storage/v1/object/public/avatars/Outlets/TheSixthAxis-Logo.jpg","TheSixthAxis","https://www.thesixthaxis.com/","God of War is a great port of one of the PlayStation 4's biggest games. This gets rid of problematic cameras that have plagued many games but does it actually help God of War 3? The answer to that is most definitely. The cinematographers have been working their asses off and it shows. The camera is always in the perfect position to allow you to see everything close enough to get the details but far enough to marvel at the environment. Their work truly shines during the titan segments when the camera pans out and Kratos is so tiny the only way you could tell where you are is to slash your blades around. This time around there are no CG cutscenes in the game in favor of having all the scenes done with the in-game engine. This would be a drag if it were any game but God of War 3 since the graphics are so gorgeous I continuously kept wondering how I could be playing something that looked this good. This is definitely going to be labeled as one of the best looking around games right there with Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2.","https://monstervine.com/2010/03/god-of-war-3-review/","2010-03-25",100
4504802
46,"James Bentley
128,"https://cdn.criticdb.com/storage/v1/object/public/avatars/Outlets/The-Outerhaven-Logo.jpeg","The OuterHaven","https://www.theouterhaven.net/","Porting the 2016 God of War reboot to PC has always been a bit of an odd choice.
