It's a repetitive cyberpunk Prince of Persia. The platforming and combat are flashy, but both feel awkward to control and get really competitive. All the cool things you'd expect in a TRON game are restricted to the limited multiplayer modes. If you've got 10 people you can play some fun multiplayer games, but there are only a half dozen maps including the day one DLC. If you want to find out what happens between the two films, then you at least get a bit of a story here. And if the developers keep expanding the multiplayer with DLC like they're already doing then this game could be worth a purchase eventually. But right now TRON feels like a movie cash in game more than the next step in a classic gaming franchise.","https://www.ign.com/articles/2010/12/07/tron-evolution-review-2","2010-12-07","6",60
48269
3262,"Jamie O'Neill
63,"https://cdn.criticdb.com/storage/v1/object/public/avatars/Outlets/Push-Square-Logo.jpg","Push Square","https://www.pushsquare.com/","One of the biggest surprises about the story of a video game coding whiz transported into a computer's mainframe is that after 28 years there are still not many games set in the awesome Tron universe. It started well enough with Bally Midway's 1982 coin-op, but slowed down significantly until the PC's Tron 2.0 in 2003 and Discs of Tron on XBLA in 2008. However, that is about to change as Canadian developer Propaganda Games has built Tron Evolution as a third-person action-adventure, which acts as a prequel, bridging the gap in story before this December's blockbuster movie release of Tron: Legacy.","https://www.pushsquare.com/reviews/2010/12/tron_evolution_ps3","2010-12-09
94164
7044,"Joe Robinson
133,"https://cdn.criticdb.com/storage/v1/object/public/avatars/Outlets/GameWatcher-Logo.jpeg","GameWatcher","https://gamewatcher.com","There is sense of slight disappointment that permeates this review - it’s true, we did come out of this slightly deflated, but that’s not to say this isn’t a good game. Propaganda have done a really good job in crafting something that not only achieves its main purpose, but also doesn’t completely suck. Perhaps we’d projected too much hope on it during the preview stage, but there are still a few aspects of this game that could be better.
