Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is an action-RPG that delivers on most of its promises, along with some solid side content that is well worth indulging in – even if the full game isn't anything particularly remarkable.

Tokyo Xanadu eX+

While by no means a bad game, Tokyo Xanadu eX+ certainly isn't a remarkable one. Falcom fans might find some things to like here, but there's little to court anyone else.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 does a lot of things right, but suffers under its own weight and poor design decisions. Despite everything it's the first exclusive jRPG worth owning for the Switch, and with a little more polish it could be one of the best jRPGs of the last few years.

Fire Emblem Warriors feels just as fresh as Hyrule Warriors did in some ways, though it never quite reaches the same highs. That doesn't mean it's not a great game, as the title is still a great addition to any Switch owner's library.

Chaos;Child tells a heartbreaking tale of murder, delusions, and what drives a person. It's a painful tale, but one that very well may stick with you forever.

Ys VIII sets the bar high for Adol Christin's next adventure. This is one of the best Ys titles yet, and one of the best RPGs of the year.

Breath of the Wild is a fantastic game, but chances are you already knew that. Nintendo's latest title manages to be a true adventure at the best of times, with only a few faults otherwise holding it back. This is a game that you don't want to miss.

Super Bomberman R
5.5

Super Bomberman R doesn't reinvent the wheel and might be hard to recommend to most players due to a lack of value. Its greatest strength is in its local multiplayer capabilities, but a combination of finicky controls, a high price tag for the amount of content the game packs, and a mediocre online experience holds back an otherwise fun game.

After finishing Steins;Gate 0, I can't think of it as a sequel. With how well it fits into the original story, complimenting it - Steins;Gate 0 feels like the missing half to the original that I didn't even know I wanted, let alone needed. Now that I've read it though, I can't think of Steins;Gate without it.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II stumbles with its pacing in places where the first game doesn't, but it's still an RPG worth playing.
