Analytics

CriticDB tracks all use of the website using Google Analytics and Plausible Analytics. This helps us understand user behavior and improve our services.

User Data

Favorites, Wishlists, Collections, and User Reviews are stored in our database anonymously. This data is made available as aggregate data for PR and Developers to use via paid PR accounts. CriticDB does not share any information with PR accounts that would identify a typical user on the platform, PR is only privy to Outlet and Verified Author (opt-in) information.

Programmatic Ads

CriticDB plans to add Programmatic Ads to the website in the future. At that time, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect any changes.

Payment Information

All payment information for Ad-Free, Premium, and PR accounts is stored with Stripe. CriticDB does not store any payment information.

Security Measures

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

To ensure a secure platform, all admin-level accounts are secured with MFA. PR Accounts are also required to have MFA due to the higher level of data access.

Contact Information

Outlets and Authors must agree to share their contact information with PR via a checkbox in their profile. By default, CriticDB does not share any Outlet or Author contact information.
