CriticDB Terms of Service

1.1 Free Accounts

Users can create free accounts to add games to lists and submit games to the database. All usernames must be clean and appropriate.

1.2 Ad-Free Accounts

Users can pay for ad-free accounts, which will remove banner advertisements. However, some limited sponsored ads may still be displayed.

1.3 Premium Accounts

Premium accounts grant additional functionality, including the ability to add User Reviews for games. All reviews are subject to review by the CriticDB team.

1.4 Author Accounts

Author accounts have access to a public profile where they can link their website, social accounts, photo, and bio. Author accounts can be claimed by creating a CriticDB user account and having an Editor Account verify it.

1.5 Editor Accounts

Editor accounts have all the privileges of Author Accounts, plus the ability to manage the Outlet(s) they are assigned to. This includes managing reviews and the Outlet's profile page.

1.6 PR Accounts

PR Accounts have access to Outlet contact information, and upgraded accounts have access to CriticDB data to sort through outlets by average review score, genre, and/or platform. Authors must opt-in to share their e-mail with PR for opportunities.

2.2 Reasons for review removal include, but are not limited to:

• Lack of actual wording in the review (e.g., Lorem Ipsum style text)
• Extreme profanity
• Spamming reviews
• Non-game commentary (e.g., unjustified attacks on a developer, author, or other individuals)
• Review bombing
