Overall, South Park: Snow Day is an absolute blast, full of hilarious little quips and interactions. The various powers and Bullshit Cards are incredibly amusing and add chaos to gameplay that initially seems simple but opens up as you play. If you're looking for a game in which you can sit back, chill out, and enjoy South Park humour in a new way, then Snow Day is a brilliant choice.
Thirsty Suitors may seem like a bizarre, quirky, chaotic mess, but that's exactly what makes it so special. Never have I experienced a game that can so continuously catch me off-guard and make me laugh out loud with ridiculous one-liners and character interactions. The story is simple, hilarious, and easy to follow along, making it an enjoyable tale to explore. The soundtrack also creates a unique vibe, combining Hip-Hop tunes with South-Asian music influences to create some intense battle themes and catchy skateboarding tunes.
In Moonstone Island, there's a ridiculous amount of activities to keep yourself occupied as you progress through your days of Alchemist training, bringing together everything you could ever want in a cozy life-sim title. Gorgeous pixel graphics, a soothing, relaxing soundtrack, Quests, monster catching, turn-based battles, deck building, exploration, farming, Dungeon diving, foraging, crafting and building, treasure hunting, collecting, hidden mines, lovable NPCs, and multiple ways to traverse the lands and make new discoveries.
In every sense, Sea of Stars shows off just how successful and breathtaking the traditional 2D pixel art style can truly be in a modern-day game, and sets the bar extremely high for any followers. Battle animations are eye-catching and satisfying, exploration and adventure is entertaining, characters are lovable and unique, and the music in every situation, from story to adventure, to combat, uplifts emotion and drive to keep moving forward through the story.
