Destiny 2: Lightfall is overall, a great experience. The gameplay additions, the Quality of Life improvements, and the music and sound design are all best in class. The Lightfall campaign is going to be divisive for a long time to come and I think that’s okay. Its storytelling doesn’t live up to the Witch Queen’s standards, but the level design is some of Destiny’s – and Bungie’s – best. I loved the characters we met along the way, the post-campaign content, and Neomuna itself. I love Neomuna, Strand, and the new Root of Nightmares raid, But I think the best part is that I’m having just as much fun as I ever have in Destiny.

Coffee Talk does so much right and only manages to miss the mark in ways that I selfishly wish it hadn’t. Regardless of its weak points, Coffee Talk is a wonderful, mellow, melancholic yet hopeful experience that anyone with a Saturday morning, and a pot of coffee to kill, should enjoy. Its a great addition to GamePass, and I cannot wait to pour myself another cup with its sequel in 2023.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is not only the best expansion Bungie has ever made for Destiny, but it’s the best release that Destiny has ever had period. From the same tight gameplay we all know and love, to the breathtaking visuals and music the team at Bungie have managed to produce, all the way down to best launch day for any expansion Destiny has ever seen and the roughest Day One Raid event we’ve ever seen. The Witch Queen is more than just another expansion for the now 8-year-old franchise, it’s a return to form for Bungie that I, as a lifelong fan dating back to the Marathon days, never expected to see. My biggest concern now is whether Lightfall can live up to what the team has been able to accomplish here.

Hypercharge: Unboxed

Hypercharge: Unboxed

While there’s no denying that the world has seemingly moved passed the stage of young kids playing with their action figures and instead has them playing video games on their parents Xboxes, HYPERCHARGE Unboxed does a fantastic job of making me feel like a kid in my bedroom, playing with my little brother and our action figures again more than any other toy soldier game has before it. For only a fraction of the cost of what I’ll spend on games like Destiny 2 or Halo Infinite this year, I cannot possibly recommend this game enough.
