EA really have cracked it this time. For anyone without a PC, The Sims 3 is the perfect port and it’s a great introduction to the franchise for anyone who enjoys the comfort of a sofa for their god-playing. The developers need to be commended for their efforts and if you like sandbox games, this is unmissable.

Without the creation / sharing feature the game fails to hold much substance. It’s a broad scope of what could have been possible. For the hardcore gamer, you’ll find little to hold you. Spore is a game to delve into over an extended period of time. It’s a game to bring gamers together and while it doesn’t continue its strength throughout, it definitely shows what can be done.

The game is on the cusp of greatness. It’s got plenty of unique touches and tells a cracking story. As a game, one that must be controlled and manipulated according to the player’s wish, it fails. It’s abysmal. It really is a hashed creation. Alone in the Dark has attempted too much and ignored the fundamentals of game production. Let the player move about without screaming at the screen. Buy it on a console if you must play it, but don’t expect things to be much of an improvement.

If you liked Samurai Warriors, then you’ll like number 2. If you liked any of the Dynasty Warriors titles then again, you’ll enjoy this. If the developers were hoping to bring in new fans , then they failed. The game’s outdated and It shouldn’t have reached the PC, definitely not in the state it’s in. It’ll appeal to the hardcore, but that was a given. A concept rinsed to excess.
