The game warns that eating too much can be detrimental to your body. It’s good life advice, but I never felt hindered by overconsumption. In fact, I ate everything I could. There were changes to how the character moved, but this never discouraged me from eating anything. This held true amongst dietary limits. Bite the Bullet is a 2D side-scrolling shooter with an interesting eating mechanic. Choosing your food preferences and acquiring skills based on them is neat and clever, as is managing calorie, fat, and protein intake while devouring foes. Levels and enemies can get repetitive, but it's not that big of a deal.
