One week isn’t enough to really understand everything about this game. The campaign is complete, but there is much still to do with the post-game content, trophies and what I can only assume are many more mysteries I can solve. Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is not a game you should just read about or watch a Let’s Play of on YouTube. It’s a game that absolutely demands 40 hours or more of your t...

Danganronpa V3: Killiing Harmony not only gives fans more of the Danganronpa they know and love, but it elevates the series to new heights and leaves old players scratching their heads and reeling in shock at the twists the story takes.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony relies heavily on its characters and plot, so if these two things aren't of interest to you then you might not agree with this review. However, returning fans and those with an open mind will clearly understand why Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is one of the greatest visual novels I have ever played.

Danganronpa is completely silly, deranged, weird, terrifying, awful, ironic, depressing, hopeful, wonderfully written, emotional and engrossing. It's an experience you absolutely need to try as blind as possible.

I’ve been excited for and anticipating Danganronpa V3 for a long time, and after playing it,  I can say it was absolutely worth it. Danganronpa V3 is an impressive culmination of nearly 8 years of twists, turns, heart-breaks, and murders, and is an amazing entry in a consistently well-written and addictive franchise.

During my playthrough, I didn't run into any bugs or crashes. While I enjoyed the game, as a newcomer I did feel overwhelmed by a lot of the stuff coming at me early on in the game. I also felt like it took far too long to get to the first trial and to get into the meat of the game. These are minor gripes, and anyone who has played the series before will most likely be okay with them.

The Danganronpa series is known for being delightfully dark and twisted while at the same time wrapped in a layer of light-hearted eccentric silliness. The main crux of the series centres around Monokuma and his ‘killing game’, where a group of students are forced to live together and the only way to leave is to kill someone without being caught. It’s a brilliant mix of social simulator, murder my...

The Danganronpa formula feels like it’s starting to get a little stale, but it still manages to pose interesting moral quandaries with a large dose of black humour and anime style weirdness.

Danganronpa V3 is one-of-a-kind. It got me attached to characters within minutes before ripping out my heart. It twisted and turned in every direction, and there was always something new and even more terrifying on the way, leaving me little time to mourn my fallen friends. This may be a game that’s mostly about reading text, but it still managed to make my heart race.

The Danganronpa series started out as a cult hit, its first release a PS Vita exclusive. Since then, it’s rapidly grown in popularity. At present there are three core games, two anime adaptations, and a spin-off title. I’ve been a fan of the series since the first release and have played all core releases, including the latest, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, and loved every minute of it.
