Path of Fire is a much better expansion than Heart of Thorns, and the best part about it is it will only set you back $30. The Guild Wars 2 base game is already free to play, and if you want both expansions, you can get them combined for $50. You are essentially getting years worth of content for the price of one game. If you have already played Guild Wars 2 before but have left for one reason or another and are on the fence about returning, I could not recommend a better time to come back. This leaves us somewhat conflicted about the expansion. The content that is there is excellent and has truly reinvigorated our enjoyment of the game. The Crystal Desert has been beautifully reimagined, with a really great story to guide you through it. The mounts system has truly raised the bar for player transportation in the genre. Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire adds a plethora of content to an already solid game. A must-have for players still enjoying their time in Kryta, and the inclusion of an automatic max level character makes it enticing for new players as well.
Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire takes our heroes back to the Crystal Desert where you need to take on the God of War, Balthazar. Which is basically just another day in ArenaNet’s fantasy MMORPG that’s been in play more than five years. Path of Fire, the second expansion after 2015's Heart of Thorns, finally introduces mounts to the game as well as elite specializations and a brand new zone.
There is no shortage of beautiful moments in Guild Wars: Path of Fire , the second proper expansion from the wizards at ArenaNet.
