This is 189.16, The Scream, I am Forrest Nash, and I sincerely recommend you pick up this title! Simple puzzles and hilarious dialogue mean just about anyone should tune in to Killer Frequency.
Killer Frequency is a first-person narrative horror game, developed and published by Team 17. You play as radio DJ Forrest Nash and through a dark turn of events, all 911 calls are directed to the radio station. You must solve puzzles in order to save lives and piece together the sinister history of the small town.
However, the game has one drawback that is worth mentioning. The complete lack of an interface sometimes leads to the player forgetting or not understanding what task is in front of him. To remember, you need to return to the remote control and press the appropriate button, then the partner producer will give a hint.
It’s safe to say that Killer Frequency has taken us by surprise. We don’t really know what we expected from it, but it gripped us from the outset and made us keen to keep playing. A multi-layered affair, it’s a lot of fun trying to find solutions to the harrowing situations that your callers have found themselves in, but there’s also pleasure in finding out more about its protagonist, Forrest, and...
Killer Frequency is a refreshing puzzle adventure under the guise of an 80s slasher flick. Its flirtation with real-time life-or-death decision-making serves to keep it an interesting and varied horror experience.
Though it may have some small issues Killer Frequency creates a unique blend of horror, puzzle, and adventure that will delight slasher fans with plenty of camp and solid storytelling.
Killer Frequency is a fantastic horror/comedy that, with minimal changes, shines on the Steam Deck.

It's far from the only game with a slasher focus - and The Quarry even has some 1980s outfits for its characters - but where Killer Frequency differs is that the player has the restriction of remaining in the st...
I’ve been a radio presenter for almost ten years, and I never in my wildest dreams thought about a scenario where I, through the airwaves, would be in a position to help civilians with a crazed serial killer roaming the streets, slasher-style, with no police force available to assist me. I’ve done late shifts at the station before in real life, so the thought of a horror-filled video game that put...
Rounding things off, Killer Frequency is a good use of your gaming time. It is well-written, nicely voice-acted, fairly short, and can be seriously creepy at times. Fans of slasher films will have a blast playing this. While I think it would probably be best experienced in VR, it is worth experiencing on a console.
