Madden NFL 24 feels like the most complete game since jumping to this generation. EA Tiburon continues to build on the core that was established four years ago. The changes for this year's game are numerous, but results with inconsistencies and ultimately need more polish. Hopefully this will come in the coming months with patches. When everything works, it's cool to experience it all coming toget...
Madden NFL 24 aims for a safe play instead of truly revitalizing the series. While controls, animation, visual design, and quality of life improvements are welcome, this entry is more of an incremental upgrade over Madden NFL 23 than a refreshing overhaul of the series. It'll be up to fans to decide whether small improvements are worth the extra cash. Newcomers, however, might find more value in i...
While I am enjoying my return to the Madden-verse, I have to admit, I expected a little more. Most of the modes from the past few years are here and they play out largely the same. Franchise, MUT, and Superstar are all back. It’s clear EA Sports is all about yearly incremental changes. That is fine, I have come to terms with it and recognize EA Sports isn’t ready to alienate their fan base any tim...
Madden NFL 24 from EA Tiburon expands on the rebuilt fundamentals from last year, creating a football simulation that takes a solid next step toward authenticity. However, new poorly implemented features and an interface showing its age are enough of a drag to make this latest iteration feel like a step back for a series badly in need of forward progress.
After seeing so much change in Franchise Mode from Madden NFL 22 to 23, expectations were high for Madden NFL 24. While some things are what fans wanted from the Madden franchise in 24, it seems like time was truly against the game as glitches are more rampant than last year and things simply seem half finished. While we assume that things will get fixed as the year goes by, it might be time for M...
Despite all the positives and added-on fancy features, I can't recommend paying full price for Madden 24, as it doesn't feel different enough when comparing last year's edition. But if you're a series veteran craving a Madden that promotes more player agency, EA has fine-tuned the football emulation to make it a better experience.
Madden NFL 24 also carries over a handful of bugs and visual glitches that were present not only last Madden, but the game that came before it. Bugs like the one where both teams appear frozen on the field during the cinematic view between plays, or where the camera isn’t showing the players despite them being at the line of scrimmage. It feels like such a slap in the face to the player and makes ...
Madden continues to improve on the field, but surrounding that attribute with worthwhile modes or features still eludes the franchise.
Madden NFL 24 feels like it needs a team talk that'll ruffle some feathers, but without it, the franchise feels like it'll be doomed to repeat the same season again, and again.
