Mail Time Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Mail Time is a simple game with a simple reminder we often forget to hold onto when the world often can make us feel like we should run instead of walk.
Mail Time is a sublimely pastel, gorgeously orchestrated indie game about delivering mail to forest creatures. "Cozy" is an understatement.
Bugs aside, though, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed our time with Mail Time. This is a cute, whimsical adventure that anyone who likes cosy, relaxing games will enjoy. The silly dialogue won’t be to everyone’s tastes, but we still reckon it’ll raise a smile or two even from the sternest of faces. Leave action and violence aside for a bit, and Mail Time is the ideal chilled-out experience to spend a couple of hours with.
You’re a fresh-on-the-job Mail Scout on track to complete your very first mail delivery! Glide, jump and talk your way through the Grumblewood Grove on your way to deliver the letter and become a full-fledged Mail Scout! Nintendo Switch version reviewed.
Bzz bzz! What time is it? Why, it’s Mail Time, little mushroom friend! Billed as a “cottagecore” adventure game, Mail Time is a short 3D platformer full of cosy charm. Originally a student project by developer Kela van der Deijl, this narrative adventure was given new life after an extremely successful Kickstarter campaign in 2022. While it promises a stress-free experience, there’s unfortunately a fair bit of work yet to be done on this game before it can call itself truly relaxing.
