Mass Effect 2 will bring you on a journey and give you an experience that can not be achieved by playing any other game.
Mass Effect 2 conveys both a grand story, and intimate experience that will most likely be savored by all that come in contact with it. Mass Effect 2 is the result of effective criticisms being taken into consideration and improved upon. Living up to the hype, Mass Effect 2 casts a large shadow over the rest of 2010 if this level of quality is what we now measure by.
Mechanically speaking, the shooting has been raised to the standards of most elite third person shooters. The much criticized inventory system and Mako driving sections of the original have been discarded and instead replaced by an economic system based on mining, which I can recognize as being the worst part of the game.
Games like Mass Effect 2 don't come around often enough. Look at any aspect and you can be sure it's great. It's incredibly personal while still retaining a sense of epic sweeping scale. The combat and mission design are outstanding. The visuals, voice acting, soundtrack, and direction are miles ahead of the competition. The only real caveat I should mention is that some of the revelations and plot twists won't be quite as powerful if you haven't played Ma...
Mass Effect 2: Arrival is a disappointing conclusion to a beloved series' second chapter.

And while old characters inevitably need less introduction than new ones, they are handled in a way that should retain a new player's interest rather tha...
Mass Effect 2 stands out as not only one of the best sci-fi action titles around, it’s one of the best games ever made, period. Accomplished enough to rub shoulders with the likes of Star Wars and Star Trek in the annals of sci-fi history, Mass Effect 2 is simply put, a work of unquestionable brilliance. Anyone who believes otherwise is a cold-hearted cynic. Regardless of whether you played the first game or not, Mass Effect 2 is completely and utterly indispensable.
