Reverie Knights Tactics Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Reverie Knights Tactics is an interesting RPG that tells a fascinating if a bit short story. Once you beat the game, you can’t help but think “That can’t be it, where is the rest of it?” and wish to see the plot develop further.
Turn-based strategy RPGs are some of the most rewarding games and Reverie Knights Tactics is here to offer something a little different.
Reverie Knights Tactics is a strategy game with lots of thought and beauty, yet is somewhat punishing.
Punishing but rewarding, Reverie Knights Tactics provides an enjoyable challenge for any fan of strategic turn-based combat. Battles may not offer much in the way of a unique twist, but it’s the game’s art style that truly makes it stand out. Reverie Knights Tactics‘ colourful, hand-drawn visuals are simply beautiful – and even if you’re getting pummelled on the battlefield, at least you’ll enjoy the view.
Reverie Knights Tactics will certainly scratch a particular itch for fans of turn-based tactics games in general. Its mix of strategy and visual novel gameplay is likely to appeal to a particular subset of player, however its slow pace and simplistic RPG mechanics may start to grate by the end.
Reverie Knights Tactics feels like a run-of-the-mill strategy game that isn't quite bad but fails to do anything particularly memorable.
