SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada is a strange game for sure. It’s an enjoyable enough mecha-based extraction shooter, with serviceable combat and traversal and with the excitement of this genre’s formula. Said gameplay loop does very little to stand out from the crowd, despite a somewhat unique presentation, and the technical woes and limited content and variety thereof, end up limiting its potential. It’s ...

Getting to the best part is a grind, but if you put in some hours Synduality Echo of Ada eventually reveals itself to be a high-tension, mech-based extraction shooter.

I like Synduality Echoes of Ada, but it's also frustrating and barren. Its gameplay systems are tight and polished, but is that enough for an extraction shooter? When new games drop so frequently, you need to stand out, which Synduality Echo of Ada does with its aesthetic but little else, and it needs to bring more to the table to stand out.

I’m more interested to see where SYNDUALITY Echo of Ava goes from here. Its current version lays the groundwork for bigger and brighter things, even if the foundation could use more polish. It's not a game for everyone, and unless you’re into the franchise or are looking for a more casual extraction shooter experience with science fiction flavor, it won’t turn you into a believer in either.

SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada is a generic third-person extraction that challenges, engages, then bores.

If all you’re after is a mostly chilled extraction game occasionally broken up by fights to the death, you could do worse than Synduality: Echo of Ada.

In this PvPvE extraction shooter, players, aided by an AI partner known as a Magus, must survive against xenomorphic creatures and other players in the hunt for resources. PC version primarily reviewed. Reviewer also received a PS5 review copy from the company for testing purposes.

Synduality: Echoes of Ada is an extraction shooter that, while really easy to get into, might be difficult to stick with considering its bland art style and simplistic gameplay that ends up not having enough depth.

Synduality Echo of Ada has an addictive value at first, but needs to add more content and customizability to maintain concurrent player base.

SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada is a third-person, mech-based PvPvE with looter and extraction shooter elements. It does have potential, but it's sadly held back by a live service format and its monetization elements. Although there's fun to be had online, the game makes it a hassle to actually play with others, and the combat and gameplay loop can become repetitive.

While there is some fun to be had, SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada offers a mostly tedious experience in many ways. The gameplay is ridiculously arduous and painfully repetitive, the performance is barely acceptable, and its monetization model is questionable.
