The only real fighting game that that Nintendo ever made that caught my eye was Smash Brothers. But now they are trying to make a new, unique fighting experience with ARMS, a fighting game that is really unlike anything I've ever played. It's different, quirky, and a ton of fun. While it isn't perfect, it is still a great fighting game to bring out for some casual Nintendo fun.
There has been a lot of controversy surrounding this rerelease, but Bulletstorm remains as a solid, different shooter that deserves a second chance. However, terrible business practices by Gearbox keep this great game in the shadows and not worth the $60 price.
We had a lot of skepticism and kept our hype in check, but in the end we can't deny that Breath of the Wild took our breath away hour after joyous hour. With a ton of great content and gameplay, along with polish that you just don't see much of anymore, we just might have another Nintendo classic on our hands.
While I don't believe Nioh deserves all of the perfect scores it's getting, I still find it to be a fun, interesting, and hard as hell game that no fan of the souls-like sub-genre should miss out on.
Though sporting a new first-person camera and horror esthetic, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard proves itself to be a return to form for the long running series; making it the strongest entry since the revolutionary Resident Evil 4.
The latest entry in this seasoned yet under-appreciated franchise may be it's finest and most accessible yet. Although it has some shortcomings, Yakuza 0 never disappoints those who are looking for an engaging story about the Japanese criminal underworld, with some dumb fun along the way.
