Seven Deadly Sins: Knights of Britannia seems try and offer a little something for everyone — which is both the game’s selling point and downfall. Though it is accessible and enjoyable for many, it means everything that makes the anime so enjoyable is being spread too thin. It needs to be more focused, less complicated, and the good aspects need to be made great.

As I’m sure you’ve sensed, the gist of it is that Shu is phenomenally well done. No, it may not be a power house in the charts, or a completely new trendsetter, but it is genre defining. Shu is the ultimate example of how a game should take its desired platform and then shape it into the most perfect game that platform has seen. It knows itself and it pronounces it proudly as a seminal indie classic, and it has secured itself a place in my heart.

Ray Gigant seems like a work in progress; it needs definition. The biggest thing I took away from it is that it can’t decide what sort of game it wants to be. Even though the aesthetics are gorgeous and the innovative battle system is exciting, it seems like the game was created as a visual novel first and foremost, meaning the ingredients don’t quite mix together properly. It is a highly unusual game, and one I found to be an interesting experience, but it is also very easy to play and enjoy, provided you are willing to fully immerse yourself in the story and settle for more dialogue with less play time.

Whilst it may be a little difficult for some players – especially those that aren’t used to typing much – for those who are willing to get to grips with its mechanics, the content that has been produced is nothing short of exceptional. A dash away from sheer perfection in my eyes. With i’s delicate and intricate design, flawless dynamics, interesting story and a completely unique title on the market, Epistory: Typing Chronicles is worth every second of play time.

Overall though, I’d highly recommend Armello to fans of Hearthstone, World of Warcraft, Starcraft, D&D, or anyone wanting to branch out from traditional board games. The graphics, though not the most exceptional in terms of quality, are beautiful; the combination of 3D effects with almost anime-esque cu scenes gives the game a unique and striking look. It’s interesting, the music has a calming effect, and it gives so much for a relatively unknown game, for not much money.
