Firebreak is emblematic of the old saying – “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” The early missions are not reflective of the true depth and replayability the game offers. If you invest a bit of time and upgrade your kit, there is a lot of fun to be had here.
Post Trauma is a loving tribute to those early generation survival horror games. It contains the best and worst attributes of said games. Thanks to today’s technology in terms of computing power and game engines like Unreal 5, Post Trauma has high production values. The creators’ respect for the genre is clear in all aspects of the final product. For veteran gamers and horror aficionados, this game will be a wonderful trip down memory lane. Post Trauma is available on platforms.
Graphical caveats aside, Sniper Elite: Resistance is fun to play not only because of the various game modes but how you can approach missions. The developers also devoted significant effort to ballistics and weapons handling. Veteran players will feel right at home. New players will be delighted with the variety of missions. Both will be delighted with the options of how they can play them.
Homeworld 3 is the latest game in the highly regarded 3D space combat tactical simulation series from Blackbird Interactive. As such, Homeworld 3 has an elevated bar of excellence to uphold. Jeppe Carlsen, best known as the lead designer for previous puzzler games Limbo and Inside, is back again with Cocoon, developed with Geometric Interactive. Cocoon can be best categorized as part puzzler, part adventure, part platformer and part exploration game. If you have ever played the iconic puzzle-adventure game, Journey, you will feel right at home from the opening screen. Like Journey, Cocoon eschews any sort of narration. The story and gameplay unfold as you explore the surrounding area. Everything is a mystery waiting for you to explore.

Amnesia: The Bunker is the latest entry in the Amnesia series of games from developer, Frictional Games. This fifth entry takes a radical departure from previous Amnesia games. It is a contained experience all happening in, yep you guessed it, a bunker. A World War 1 bunker, to be exact.
PSVR 2 landed on February 22, 2023 and one of the big announcements was the addition of a VR mode for developer, Polyphony Digital’s, Gran Turismo 7. This was an announcement long in coming and one time, before COVID, the expectation was GT7 would be a PSVR 2 launch title.
While playing the first person shooter, Fashion Police Squad for review, I kept expecting Austin Powers to pop up and exclaim, “Oh, Behave!” But does the game have anything going for it aside from a sense of humor?
