Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is Bungie’s most ambitious piece of content within the franchise to date. Join us as we explore what’s new, what works, and what has yet to prove itself in the crucible of time.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light
9.0

This year, the Destiny franchise has entered into its sixth year of existence as the premiere first person shooter MMORPG. While it has wrestled year-to-year with how it lives out that definition, one thing remains the same: Bungie has developed for itself with a rich science fiction universe that is filled with stories and characters that, while literally and metaphorically alien, could not be more human. And in 2020, Destiny 2: Beyond Light is shaping up to be the expansion that the franchi...

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep
9.0

With five years of existence, six major retail releases, numerous seasonal and DLC content drops, and consistent sandbox updates, as well as walking through a split with powerhouse publisher Activision, it would be an understatement to say that Bungie has been both literally and metaphorically to the moon and back with the Destiny franchise. Within this review, we will be examining the content of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep with as few spoilers as possible along with answering a question raised wit...

Overall, the game has been out since 2015 where it started on PlayStation 4, and now it is on Steam. It feels like it could be a great game if it didn’t have so many issues and miscues for me. Story is essential in a Final Fantasy title, and they should have put this in the forefront and made the multiplayer mode secondary. I will definitely continue trying to play this on steam to see if the connections get better as this is a new port for PC.

Capturing the essence of the 1991 classic, HumaNature Studios hits all of the right notes with ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove. With nine playable characters, light RPG progression, online co-operative gameplay, and a whole lot of funk, the latest entry into the ToeJam & Earl franchise rests solidly in the pocket where it is meant to be.

If you have been following our coverage of Fallout 76, I want to say a quick word on the front end: Thank you for sticking around to read our coverage. With a title like Fallout 76, there is a lot of ground to cover, metaphorically speaking! Many of you have brought up points in the comments that we have either missed or gotten mixed up in the midst of covering it. Again, I want to thank you.

At its heart, this is a street-level view with a focus on people and their relationship more than the politics of the situation - which is saying something with the amount of historical content found within. It reveals a timeless truth that we would be careful to heed in our heightened cultural climate: the fires of revolution always burn hot, but they are uninhibited in who or what they consume.

Jurassic World Evolution is a simply gorgeous and robust game. This multilayered gameplay experience takes place in a beautifully crafted world with lush terrain, changing weather patterns, and an incredible amount of control. Even the musical score awakens that sense of wonder and the gravity of what you are doing - you get to run Jurassic World! It is an outlier in the long line of movie-based video games, standing as a beacon of hope that it is possible for them to actually be good while s...

Far Cry 5

At the end of the day, Far Cry 5 is an artistic lesson in juxtaposition. On one hand you have a group of devoted followers of a “message of peace” that live in violence. You have a calm and charismatic leader who insights calamity. There are communities united in anarchy. Far Cry 5 provokes its audience to think and wrestle with the uncomfortable answers to our own “what-ifs” about faith, family, and the power of community.

So, does Star Wars Battlefront II fulfill the Star Wars fantasy? I believe it does, but it’s a very Empire Strikes Back fantasy; it’s not all lightsabers and Force-using. Sometimes it takes a blaster or two to get the job done or some fancy flying. It may require some frustrating moments of Dagoba-style training. At the end of the day, no matter who gets frozen in carbonite or loses a hand, you’ve got your squad to think about. Only together can you overcome the odds stacked against you.
