Last year when Portal Knights launched on PC, I paid little mind to it and wrote it off quickly. Looks like the joke was on me, because if I had actually given it a chance I would've seen that despite the clear cut inspiration Minecraft laid in place, Portal Knights is more of an RPG-lite than just trying to do what Minecraft does.

This Is The Police isn’t a game for everyone. Straddling a line between a strategy game and an interactive story, some may think it boring. There are also moments of racially charged tones that while some may find offensive, I think it’s fair to note. For those looking for a police game a buried a bit in the darker side of law enforcement fiction, it’d be easy to suggest at least giving it a shot when it’s on sale.

As another beat draws to a close, I take a break to wrap up this review. I’m hooked on this simple, but loveable title. But even if you don’t defeat Dr H8, revisiting the game is worth it as the lineup is never presented the same way twice. You could have a tougher time on subsequent attempts, or an easier time, it all depends on the heroes that cycle throu...

I’m anxious to see where the story will go when everything is said and done, and more importantly despite it being my first Atelier game, I didn’t feel locked out in my enjoyment of the plot. While the world often feels lifeless, and the combat runs on the routine side, the cast of loveable (and hateable) characters is sure to keep you locked to the screen a few hours at a time wondering where everything will lead. The game could’ve passed with the title Atelier Firis: The Mysterious Jo...
