The appeal of Watch_Dogs is obvious. It promises to take the open world of Grand Theft Auto, relocate it to Chicago and spice it up with near-future tech and a completely networked, entirely hackable city, all while sprinkling some of the variety and flow of Assassin’s Creed.

In its 17 years on our screens South Park has offended pretty much everyone with its caustic humour but its games have struggled to bottle the show’s comic magic.

But while the way it gets players using toy figures to influence the on-screen fun owes much to Activision’s mega-hit, Disney is seeking to take Skylanders‘ fusion of figurines and games to new heights with a level-creation tool that brings Minecraft and LittleBigPlanet to mind. But will it be fun for all the family?
