Overall, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is pretty friendly to new players. Its RPG mechanics are straightforward enough to grasp pretty quickly and the game doesn't spend too much time muddling the experience with tutorials. Even for someone who's never played a Monster Hunter game in their life, they'll still find plenty to enjoy in this RPG.
