The Atelier franchise has been around for 20 years as of 2017. I was exposed to it some 11 years ago with the Atelier Iris trilogy, but haven’t really had a chance to get to know the new generation of titles. I was excited to see just how much the series had evolved through the lens of Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey and discovered a whole new world through its eyes.
Final Fantasy XV takes place in the world of Eos. I would like to clear the air to begin with for this piece. The extent of my racing game experience revolves around Mario Kart, which I feel I’m pretty good at. Driveclub VR takes that experience to a different level, and while I kind of sucked at it, I can definitely appreciate what the game attempts to do.

Mafia 3 is the latest installment in the Mafia series from Hangar 13, published by 2K games. Set in 1968 in the fictional adaptation of New Orleans, New Bordeaux, it follows the story of Lincoln Clay. Returning from Vietnam and re-engaging with the black mafia, Lincoln’s world is thrown upside down when his mob family is brutally murdered around him. After “recovering”, his sole purpose is revenge. No one is safe from Lincoln’s dream of becoming the new top dog.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is the newest addition to the Deus Ex universe. The year is 2029 and mechanically augmented humans have become segregated from their “natural” counterparts as a result of the global killing spree (known as the Aug incident) initiated by a maniacal purist 2 years prior.
If you are looking for a title that contains the right mix of fantasy and sci-fi, then look no more, Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness is exactly what you have been looking for. A game developed by Tri Ace and published by Square Enix, I loved how elements of both these big names were present, and I think you will too.
Anima: Gate of Memories is an absolute gem of a game and I was stoked at getting the opportunity to review it. A dark fantasy RPG that combines platforming, puzzle solving and plenty of might and magic orientated gameplay, it sucked me in right from the word go.
