Conan is back, again. The unexpected video game resurgence of the franchise now makes its way to the RTS genre, promising grueling challenges and unpleasant monsters. Headed up this time by the developers at Petroglyph, the team behind Grey Goo, this RTS is a tactical delight, offering razor-sharp strategy in a fun, fantasy setting.

Conan Unconquered is a deep and rewarding strategy-survival title with some unfortunate technical issues that could really shine with some updates. Grab a friend and you'll have a quality co-op game on your hands.

A capable yet uncreative and unimpressive game that feels straight out of the early 2000s.

While it is certainly not perfect, it really is a lot of fun to play, and even if it doesn’t do anything ground breaking, it does what it does well enough to be worth your time, if you have been on the fence about the game. Conan Unconquered doesn’t set the world on fire, but there is a good chance it will set your base on fire, which is certainly a fun way to spend your time.

Conan Unconquered is a real-time strategy game developed by Petroglyph Studios and published by Funcom. The premise of Conan Unconquered is simple: while barricaded in your fort, you need to protect your territory and survive, as wave after wave of enemies besiege your side of the battlefield. With Petroglyph studio veterans taking cues from games like They are Billions and the Command and Conquer series, they have created a complex, fast-paced, and interesting gameplay experience.
