Dungeons 4 Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Dungeons 4 looks set to be the biggest sequel to an already great series of releases while maintaining the same level of over-the-top quality and brilliant story.Though it’s also one the fleshed-out games out there with so much to keep you sucked in.
Dungeons 4 marks the triumphant return of the series, offering a spectacular Dungeon manager/RTS that will keep players invested for hours. It never felt so good to be bad.
One of my favorite IP’s from EA’s bought-and-killed collection is Dungeon Keeper. It was a very unique RTS/Tower Defense hybrid that cast you as the bad guy for once. You built a dungeon, recruited evil minions, and protected your dungeon from meddling adventuring heroes. And aside from a terrible mobile cash grab, it’s been dead for years, leaving spiritual successors to carry the torch. The Dungeons franchise is one I’ve heard of many times, but never managed to get around to trying...
As a sequel to one of my favourite underrated franchises in all of gaming, Dungeons 4 brings the goods. Or should I say Evils?
Some poor scriptwriting is easily forgiven because this is a fun and engaging title. Perhaps not a game of the year contender, but definitely worth picking up.
Dungeons 4 doesn’t raise the bar for the dungeon-building subgenre, but it’s a delightful fantasy romp that harkens back to less complicated times, and that’s quite valuable on its own.
