Gundam Breaker 4

The beauty of Gundam Breaker is that you don't need to be a fan of the larger Gundam franchise to get plenty of enjoyment out of it. It scratches the itch of an action game and a loot game all in one, and I can't seem to get enough. At heart, it's still a game all about making the wackiest robot you can that still absolutely shreds through enemies, and I think that's amazing.

Gundam Breaker 4 is a well-built return for the franchise that smartly doubles down on what everyone wants the most: customization.

Gundam Breaker 4 primarily appeals to hardcore Gundam fans, especially those deeply familiar with the Gunpla hobby. Its slow story, repetitive mission structure, and lack of flair probably won’t earn new fans. Maybe watch a bunch of Gundam anime and build a few model kits instead.

This new installment in the gunpla action RPG series is like watching an old friend rebound from tough times; it may not be as great as its mainline predecessors in some regards, but it is a solid course correction from the last few dire entries.
