It's always excellent when truly stand-out games get a sequel so here's the action-packed Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2.

When the issues of a game are rolled and stomped by its greatness, then it’s something to invest on if you have some spare.

Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 improves upon its predecessor's exciting marriage of movement and combat, though its story somehow got more bland.

While there's nothing particularly meaty or mind-blowing about the experience and it's very easy, Luminous Avenger iX 2 is another enjoyable entry in the series.

Jumping, shooting, and lemons aplenty… if such words bring fond memories welling in for you, then I have quite the game to discuss today. Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 has recently launched into the world with guns blazing and a laser chainsaw revving alongside, because Lord knows we can never have enough of those in games.

That doesn’t mean the game is truly dire or a disaster. Indeed, if you’re a fan of the franchise or you want something that feels a bit like a good old-school hack-and-slash platformer, you’ll get some enjoyment out of the game. But it ultimately feels like a very pretty and well-intentioned game that made itself too easy and ultimately lost out on its main appeal.
