I can recommend Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure to just about every action enthusiast out there. Outside of some antiquated elements dating back to the fact that it is an older game at heart, it dares to be positive at nearly every turn, and you won’t be able to play it without a smile on your face.
It's great to see long-lost classics given new life for today's gamers. Gurumin may be over a decade old but it holds up surprisingly well so sharpen your drill; it's time for a monster bash!
At the end of the day, Gurumin 3D does what it needs to, and does it well. A charming throwback in form and function to classic PS1 RPGs, this re-release is a fun romp down memory lane.
Gurumin 3D‘s voices are fantastic as well. Every character, be they human or monster, has a silly, but fitting, cadence to their voice. Everybody feels distinct, from the pervy old man, to the sassy Parin. No one blends into the background, which feels reminiscent of old JRPGs. The enthusiastic voice-acting compliments the world perfectly, serving as yet another building block in the endless charm of Gurumin 3D.

I did have fun with the title despite the issues, but it’s because of that that said issues stand out even more. With a friendlier camera and more optimized performance, we’d be looking at a great game to play to unwind from a stressful day. The product we have now, though, is somewhat lacking.
