Welcome to Hell
Halls of Torment is a well rounded experience where you get from it what you put in. If you simply want to progress through the story or you want to stack up gold to max your stats as much as possible both are viable options. There are only five levels but for the amount of time you spend in each one, conquering them is super satisfying. It’s a small but mighty title anyone can sink their teeth into.
Halls of Torment combines the character-building, loot and atmosphere of Diablo with the conciseness and pick-up-and-play nature of the Survivors-like genre to create an experience like no other. You might encounter the odd minor frustration while playing, but this is very easy to recommend.
To call Halls of Torment a Vampire Survivors clone would be overly reductive, but it's probably the easiest way to start describing what it is. It's very similar in terms of its structure and flow, but introduces some interesting wrinkles that give it a pretty unique feel.
