I am alive Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
It's not a game for everybody, but for those who believe they will appreciate a game that spiritually evokes some of the best titles ever created, and who think they can actually use their imagination in conjunction with the game to create a beautiful, emotionally moving drama, I Am Alive is heavily recommended. It might be the most unexpectedly good game you have played in a very long time.
Constant tension and difficult emotional decisions make I Am Alive a powerful adventure.

Despite the flaws I Am Alive is an easy game to like. But while we should be glad this project wasn't killed off in development hell, the sad truth is that I Am Alive never gets a chance to live.
It’s a game that aims to depict the brutal challenges of surviving in an urban post-apocalyptia but, in the end, it can’t quite survive the challenges of its own lofty goals. There are a few features in the game likely pique the interest of survival genre fans; unfortunately, they're backed up by little substance and a short, underwhelming campaign - nothing capable of reviving I Am Alive from its noticeable flaws.
I have a hard time saying that I hated this game, despite the number of things that I obviously disliked about it. It's not without its fun moments and has its fair share of difficulty. Its extremely short campaign, horribly linear mechanics, and unimaginative level design ultimately ruin the experience.
I Am Alive is brutal; gripping; captivating; depressing; miserable; and almost always utterly brilliant. An unforgettable game that reminds you why we all love this medium. This is an incredible experience that rewards those people that go with it, ignore the negatives, and immerse themselves within this miserable world. And for a budget price, why not?
