Professional reviews from gaming critics
Overall, this is an amazing game with some truly intense level designs and music. Albeit a short one, it can be a great compliment for social gaming or to get people looking on in amazement at a party. Many very innovative ideas have been implemented into the game as well as providing the Kinect with something a little bit different to show off some of it's capabilities to make gaming a crazier and all the more fun place!
Child of Eden failed to engage me on a mechanical level, but as a visual/aural experience it fairs much better. I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel my heart pound as I worked to free Lumi from the clutches of the virus. I just wish Q Entertainment provided a more fulfilling method of doing so.
Back in the day, Rez was unlike anything we'd played before. We didn't go to the insane lengths of buying the trance vibrator to go with it, but the sense of synaesthesia we got from playing it was a genuinely unique thing at the time. Now auteur Tetsuya Mizuguchi is back with his next psychedelic experiment, marrying pulsing techno music and tunes from his band Genki Rockets, with retina-scorching visuals that will stay with you long after you've switched off your console.
