A down and dirty arcade experience, Monster Jam Showdown is showy and bombastic in all the best ways.
While it will likely still only appeal to a niche audience, Monster Jam Showdown is the best monster truck game yet, inviting players to tackle a range of events across three distinct environments. Numerous assists and settings are available to make it accessible to all skill levels, and whether you prefer to play on your own or with others, you're decently catered for.
Monster Jam Showdown has a couple of issues on the Steam Deck, but is overall a playable and enjoyable experience.
With its extensive monster truck roster, polished presentation, and a lengthy campaign featuring a pleasing variety of game modes, Monster Jam Showdown offers a fresh take on the series and is a must-have for monster truck fans.
Still, I had a great time with Milestone’s take on the Monster Jam world. The gameplay is tight and surprisingly accessible, with these behemoth vehicles bouncing and flipping left and right in such fun and satisfying ways in both racing and stunt modes. Monster Jam Showdown, what is there to say? I am willing to bet most of us have stumbled onto the show on TV before. Maybe we just left it on and watched their antics for a bit from time to time. It is one of the ultimate guilty pleasures alongside Melrose Place in the 90s. Whether we are fans or not, I think we know what the brand is and what it entails. Yes, Monster Trucks! A travelling circus w...
Monster Jam Showdown is a fun, physics-based monster truck game which is wrapped in a dreadfully underwhelming campaign structure. All your favorite licensed monster trucks are here, but their similar driving characteristics and sounds deflate the excitement.
