Omega Strikers Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Omega Strikers always has you thinking "just one more match" before sucking you in for countless more hours. At the low, low price of free-to-play, it is a minimal investment for potentially big fun.
Omega Strikers is a great time. Its wide variety of characters and playstyles, alongside the polish of its general gameplay loop, are all extremely well crafted and full of polish. Despite the slow start and lag, coupled with frequent disconnections on mobile and a clunky UX on Switch, the quality of the game itself shines past these issues. The love that has been put into the game will likely keep me playing for a long time to come.
One of the most promising games from last year was a multiplayer MOBA-Sports theme game called Omega Strikers. This game caught the attention of many content creators in the YouTube space due to how simple yet frenetic it is in action. Thanks to the folks at Odyssey Interactive, I was able to experience Omega Strikers from the first beta alongside a few of my buddies who joined me in other reviews in the past. Now, you get to see our impressions just a few days after launch!
Omega Strikers mixes together concepts from some tried-and-true success stories like Rocket League and Overwatch. The result is something that's both fun and quick to play with enough unlockables to keep people engaged. Each individual game feels different thanks to the potential combination of strikers, arenas, and team strategies. Speaking of the strikers, each character has a unique and interesting design and many of them are worth the effort to unlock.
Don’t get me wrong, Omega Strike is an enjoyable romp into the platformer genre, however, it’s not one that I feel brings anything new to the table. If you’re a fan of the Wolbyware’s previous work or are a fan of platformers I think Omega Strike is definitely worth a look-in however for this writer there’s not enough to keep bringing me back to the title.
Omega Strikers is a fun change to MOBA games
