Postal 4: No Regerts Reviews

Professional reviews from gaming critics

Multiple updates since leaving Early Access have still resulted in a game that barely squeezes past “mediocre” in the fun department, and should have probably not left it.

I could see where the idea of Postal 4 could appeal to PC gamers of a certain age. The mid-90s were a wild time. Back then, you could have a goatee and make scat jokes to random bank tellers without drawing suspicion. Postal 4 aims to bring you back to those times, but in the worst ways I could imagine. I’ve seemingly outgrown or moved past any of the content here that I may once have found appealing, but there’s no way I can justify recommending it to others when the execution is so poor. If this is the state the product is in for version 1.0, I have no idea how rough it must have been in 201...

There aren’t many games that have managed to have immature humor, didn’t take itself seriously, had random gameplay, and also completely bored me without a single laugh or giggle. So, bravo Postal 4. It’s not like I’m too stuck up to enjoy dirty and immature jokes, I basically live those day-by-day, but when you deliver them with the gusto of a wet fart… actually that would have been better. Let me try again, when you deliver them with the gusto of an awkward tween trying to be edgy...

Postal 4: No Regerts is in a rough state which makes it hard to review. Underneath the bugs and crashes it still doesn't look good. This game has little to offer gameplay and story. Stale jokes and failed edgy humour are abound and the repetitive missions and lacklustre mechanics don't offer much that you can't find better elsewhere.

May 13, 2022 Read Review

Postal 4: No Regerts is ugly to look and ugly to play – less because it is offensive or inappropriate, more because it is so poorly done. By completely whiffing on anything resembling humor and utterly failing to deliver any meaningful gameplay, Postal 4 delivers nothing of value to players unless they really enjoy watching a game crash once an hour. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Postal 4: No Regerts is an abysmal video game with no redeeming qualities other than the fact that it eventually ends.

Visually, Postal 4 isn’t especially fun to look at. The models look kind of stumpy, though I guess that helps convey the grime and nastiness of the characters and environments better. I do like that there are options for the different Postal Dude voices, that’s quite a nice touch for longtime series followers.
