We all were making shadow puppets with hands early in our childhood. Highlighted back during PAX, Projection: First Light has already showed a lot of potential using the light and shadow as a mechanic for platforming. Eventually you have a whole world of shadow puppets in front of you and you can freely play around with creating your own shadows.

Projection: First Light is the kind of game the world needs more of. It’s a puzzle platformer with a handcrafted shadow puppet aesthetic. Shadows are platforms, so you need to cast shadows in specific directions in order to solve puzzles and get through each level. 2D platformers are a dime a dozen, but sometimes one comes along that surprises you. I had been pleasantly surprised by another title from Blowfish Studios with Infliction, so my curiosity was piqued when I saw they were releasing a new 2D platformer. While I love platformers, many of them feel stale; simply rehashing the same ideas over and over. Projection: First Light on the other hand, sheds a new light on the genre in a most refreshing way.
