Graphics are good though I would suggest turning off the motion blur from the options. Sound is great and it is needed to hear Gard's coming and spy on conversations. There are plenty of gadgets to find and buy based on your contacts. The game has a perk system like New Vegas but they are earned through actions and would be spoiling if I told you.
You play the same character from the first game who has awoken from a coma to find that your gang is gone, you best friend is going to death row for 257 murders, a corrupt corporation from the game Red Faction has taken over the government and three new gangs now roam the streets. You have your work cut out for you!
Given that FFVII was released in 1997, the graphics are remarkable and the FMV great for it's time. The character designs are blocky but good and distinct and you can equip them with new weapons, accessories and materia the source of the worlds magic that has the typical fantasy elemental flare and fun materia like Frog that does what you think. Then there are the uber powerful summons like Odin my personal favorite or the great Knights of the Round to beat the Special optional enemies near the end. The music is amazing and quite haunting at times. It brings out real emotions in you as you get swept up in an amazing world of laughter, anger and tears. This game has one of the saddest moments in gaming history but you have to experience that for your self.
Red Dead Redemption is hands down the best Western game to date, and it can hang with some of the best open-world games around.
