Predator: Hunting Grounds provides solid ground for asymmetric multiplayer action, with a license that screams potential, but it doesn't always hit the mark. Some half baked ideas and presentation issues sully an otherwise enjoyable experience.
XCOM: Chimera Squad has turned around from announcement to release in record time, dropping in amongst a sea of delays and uncertainty to deliver a consistent, subtly tweaked take on turn based strategic action that ticks all the right boxes.
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy suffers from the rose tinted glasses effect. It's a game fondly remembered and critically lauded back in the day, but this Switch port remains a little too warts and all to be an effective re release in 2020.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a totally immersing, and beautifully timed, island life simulator that places fun and exploration at the forefront of the experience. Expressing your creativity is at the core of every choice, with ample opportunity provided to make this space your own.
Borderlands 3: Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot is the first salvo in an ongoing barrage of substantial campaign add-ons for 2K and Gearbox's leading looter shooter franchise. In Moxxi's Heist, the dastardly Handsome Jack reaches beyond the grave. Cue madness!
Zombie Army 4: Dead War is equal parts relentless and addicting, with a "just one more go" hook that will keep you and your trusted compatriots locked in to mowing down waves of the undead for hours at a time. It's brash, loud, and a whole lot of fun.
Assassin's Creed: The Rebel Collection is a generous package and a well assembled Switch port, throwing together Black Flag and Rogue onto Nintendo's current hardware. Fans of the series are guaranteed a good time, whilst offering newcomers a great point to jump in.
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is unquestionably original, and makes use of interesting mechanics as a major point of differentiation. However, technical shortcomings and a few odd choices hold it back from achieving its full potential.
