Ultimately, Dungeon Defenders: Awakened is a very unique experience that will only improve with time if Chromatic listens to their players and updates regularly. The early game can be boring, especially when played alone. However, co-op is exciting at any time, and the late game is an absolute blast. In nightmare mode, stages begin to reach the perfect level of balance between challenge and fun. It isn’t for everyone, but if you’ve been craving some tower-defense, or loved previous Dungeon Defenders games, you’re sure to enjoy Awakened.

However, I am reviewing this title in 2020; there is a massive catalog of rouge-like games that do everything Exit the Gungeon does, and many that do what is presented here even better. Additionally, rogue-like games typically have so much replay value, that many players don't need a reason to expand past the ones they really love. A decade ago, that might've made Exit the Gungeon's strength it's portability as a mobile title. Today, that comes with an asterisk as the Nintendo Switch has a great selection of similar rogue-like titles available for essentially the same price. I guess if your only gaming system is a mobile device Exit the Gungeon could be a great game for you, but otherwise, I don't see it being worth most people's time, especially when compared to other games in this saturated genre.

The Turing Test
7.5/10

The Turing Test is a well-made puzzle game that translates well onto the Nintendo Switch. Although its mechanics could be better utilized to create slightly more challenging puzzles in the first few chapters, Bulkhead Interactive started to perfect the formula by the game's conclusion. Meanwhile, the narrative features solid voice acting performances and motivates you to keep playing through the game's slow sections which are few and far between. Bulkhead Interactive did a lot right, and if they take another shot learning from the few mistakes they made, they could have a puzzle masterpiece on their hands. Regardless, The Turing Test is a very good, well-priced puzzler that is well ported and certainly worth trying on Nintendo Switch.
