MindsEye is a disaster in every sense of the word, and is going to do little more than become a guide in everything you should avoid in game design.
A Game About Digging a Hole sure has you dig a hole. It's a solid incremental game coasting on a really good idea and aesthetic that runs into a few issues.
Some occasional gameplay and story mishaps, and complicated controls, don't hold back Armored Core VI from being both an absolute blast to play and an extremely welcome return from this long-dormant franchise.
Resident Evil 4 is not only better than the original game, but it's simply the best Resident Evil game out there.
Atomic Heart has some fun combat and a soundtrack that absolutely slaps. Unfortunately it's glitchy, has a terrible open world, becomes a slog in the late game, and has the most aggressively awful writing I've ever seen.
Wanted: Dead may be delightfully weird, but its held back by extremely inconsistent combat, a nonsense story, and an all around lack of any direction.
The Callisto Protocol has occasional bouts of fun melee combat and fantastic graphics, but too much of the game is simply not fun to play to be worth it.
Gungrave G.O.R.E promises to shake you to your Gungrave core, but mostly ends up as a Gungrave chore. Before long I was Gungrave bored of the Gungrave lore and my trigger finger was Gungrave sore. Here's hoping they can fix things up if we see a Gungrave four.
Some clever puzzles, great visuals, and a solid story help carry Somerville through its occasional rough spots.
A Little to the Left has some really fun puzzles, but the game needed to be organized a little better.
