The Alters may not be a game that I replay straight away, but it occupies a very special place in my mind. I can’t stop thinking about its world and characters, as well as the memories I’ve created with both. It’s absolutely worth picking up, even if you’re only mildly interested in its baseline concept.
Stray Gods is at times a heartwarming and expertly crafted musical experience. However, certain narrative choices, along with some minor audio and performance issues, leave the game feeling like it could have spend a little more time in the oven.
I was really intrigued by the premise of Post Void coming to consoles, whenever I saw trailers for it, I couldn’t imagine it as anything other than a mouse and keyboard, twitch shooter. The quick bursts of action coupled with the extreme need to aim precisely just felt like it wouldn’t translate well over to a controller properly. However, I was completely blown away by how seamless the move from PC to console felt.
