The worst thing about Adorable Adventures is its title: yes, it does indeed offer an adorable adventure, but it's far more than that. This heart-warming journey sees a young boar reunite with his mother and siblings after a forest fire, and thanks to meaningful gameplay and gorgeous visuals, it's an utter joy to play.

Getting separated from your family as a child is a traumatic experience, and that’s before the terror of living through a forest fire cutting through your home. The baby boar Boris doesn’t let this phase him, setting out to find his brothers, sisters and mum in Adorable. Despite being set after a natural disaster, Adorable Adventures is a pretty chill game with only one part of the map noticeably affected, while the rest of the small world filled with dense forests, open moor, and a mountain to climb and explore.

Boris is undeniably adorable, but with obtuse navigation and repetitive mechanics this is an adventure you may want to let pass you by.

Adorable Adventures has enough cute, charming boars to live up to its name, and while it’s a short, wholesome title, it will be too light on gameplay for some.
