After the Fall Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
As VR continues to grow in popularity, so does its number of zombie games. Already a popular genre, it’s only become more so as everyone races to release the new Left 4 Dead. Except Valve, of course. This being no different in VR, there already being plenty of similar experiences available. Including Arizona Sunshine, which was made by the same developers who made this game. After the Fall works best when four players are working together against hordes of swarming baddies. The shrieks and gun shots are exactly where you want them to be. But the game is held back some by a limited number of levels and some fiddly UI design. Still absolutely worth a look, but with the understanding that some refinements and more content are still on the way.
If you need a cool VR game and can get the crew together and don’t mind some…questionable matchmaking decisions, it’s pretty fun and it would be great to spend Friday nights with the boiz gunning down some zombies (please I am so lonely). On the other hand, I wouldn’t buy a VR headset just to hang around by myself when Left 4 Dead and Back 4 Blood are still out there, undeadishly.
If you're looking for mindless VR zombie shooting with friends, After The Fall works, but has too many problems to recommend otherwise
Playing through their game has been incredibly entertaining, but not problem-free.
