Air Conflicts: Secret Wars Reviews

Professional reviews from gaming critics

In the end, Air Conflicts reminds is that it is a budget game. It’s a forgivable, entertaining one, and it’s easy to recommend to anyone who enjoys the genre, but for the less familiar with the genre: this is not AAA-grade, and there are better introductions out there for you.

It’s really a shame that WWII flying games are so overlooked, as Air Conflicts proves that even a budget entry can be a lot of fun. If more time and resources were put into crafting it, this could have been a great arcade flying game. Unfortunately, though, the poor presentation drags down the entire experience. If you’re desperate for a WWII flight game, Air Conflicts can be enjoyable, but even in such a limited genre, there are honestly better options.

Move has helped gamers conquer the wastelands of Helghan, don the famous green jacket and even solve a murder or two, but it's about to achieve its biggest accolade yet: you can now use it to win World War II. Air Conflicts: Secret Wars puts you behind the controls of 16 planes from the first and second World War, with optional PlayStation Move controls letting you bank, climb and dive with the best of them. While the game has plenty going for it, though, it never quite reaches the heights you'd hope for.
