Bounty Battle is one of the very worst video games we've ever played. It's got an amazing premise, for sure, and Dark Screen Games' has somehow managed to procure the use of all of these fantastic indie characters, but that's as far as the positivity goes. Everything else about this appalling mess is absolutely broken. Janky menus, awful combat, a shocking framerate, crude animations and poorly explained mechanics leave this one in a hole that's surely impossible to climb out of; a hole that should be boarded up and forgotten about. Bounty Battle is an indie fighting game by Dark Screen Games. The main draw is a roster of 25 characters from different indie games, all of whom are unlocked from the start. While each character has the same button combinations for moves, their move sets vary and are based on abilities in their respective games. What a stroke of genius! I knew I wasn’t going to get something with the size and scope as Sakurai’s pride and joy, but I was still excited nonetheless. The premise was way too good for me to ignore. Sadly, I was wrong. Bount...
The Super Smash Bros. for indie games is a wonderful premise, but the execution of it is nowhere near what you would imagine. While there are some good tunes, every other inch of Bounty Battle disappoints. Some games just launch in a rough state, but Bounty Battle is irredeemable.
