Professional reviews from gaming critics
Not that many arcade shooters are out there and Breach happens to be a good one. Aspects in the game are almost ridiculous not to be in other shooters like the fact you gain more XP for killing someone at a hgiher level then yourself. Cover systems are always a plus and Atomic Games pulled it off along withe the destructible environments leaving room for some intense scenarios.
There’s an M60 machinegunner on the floor above me that’s ruining my team’s kill/death ratio. I’m carrying a sniper rifle, so storming up the stairs (which might be mined with tripwire explosives) into close-quarters combat won’t end well. I check my bag of tricks for a solution, and bingo: breaching charges! I look up and tap Q to strap a gift-wrapped chunk of C4 to the ceiling. Five seconds
For 1200 Microsoft points this game is a steal. Choose your weapon, gather the troops and come find me on the battlefield.
I'd argue that FPS is the world's most competitive genre today. For Atomic to enter into it with no prior experience of making a multiplayer FPS is a bit like you or me wading into the Congo and punching a hippo square in the eye. You have to try something a bit different.
Breach is slated to go Free-to-play later on this year, find out what the early access of this dungeon crawling multiplayer has to offer.
