C-Smash VRS Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
From its banging soundtrack to its pixel-perfect paddling, C-Smash VRS is one of Meta Quest 3's most enjoyable titles, even a year on from its PSVR 2 launch. One more game, yeah?
C-Smash VRS is an absolute must-buy game for anyone armed with a PS5 and PSVR2. It's a brilliant execution of a game that balances fun and challenge while taking full advantage of what makes VR special, and it absolutely shines brightest when playing one of its four VRS modes, even if for now it feels light on content.
With the simplicity of squash and block smashing at its core, C-Smash VRS is a virtual racket sport delight. The bat and ball physics are tricky to master, but stick to the easier Zen mode, or play with a friend in multiplayer and co-op, and there's plenty of joy to be had here.

C-Smash VRS is a game that I never knew I needed until I played it. It's an incredibly addictive game that provides players with a good workout without even realizing it. The multiplayer component is an absolute blast, and the single-player content is equally as good. Add all this to the fact that it has a fantastic soundtrack and superb art style, making this one of the best PSVR 2 games currently available. Don't pass up on this one.
If the idea of playing Breakout crossed with squash in VR appeals to you, it’s definitely worth checking C-Smash VRS out. Unless you have friends willing to buy and play it with you online, though, you might want to consider it a single-player only experience, and there’s not an abundance of content. But like the best arcade games, this is something you’ll likely return to many times just for a quick burst of fun.
In a comeback that no one really saw coming, SEGA’s arcade Cosmic Smash series has made the jump to the modern age, with a fully reworked and rebranded PSVR2 title. C-Smash VRS will thrust players into a minimalistic world to play games of squash in virtual reality. On paper it might not sound like it is up to much, but delve into its mechanics and you’ll discover a bare yet impressively entertaining package.
A crisply drawn futuristic racquet sport with consistent and nuanced physics that’s let down by a user base too small to support online matchmaking.
